In my grandma era

I’m enjoying an extended, coast-to-coast run of LaLa-palooza that opens in New Jersey with two darling divas, and closes with the LA debut of another rising star.

I’m in my grandma era.

That means I pay closer attention to this crazy old world because I want to preserve its best assets for them.

It also means I get to snuggle humanity in its purest form and enjoy how much sweeter the world feels with them in it.

It’s a reciprocal dance of determination and affirmation.

We built a castle yesterday and sang silly songs, walked to the park and swung.

We greeted people and pups and stopped on the sidewalk to watch four wild deer enjoy dinner on someone’s lawn.

I hope the joy we both felt as Margo rode piggyback home wafted out and lifted other spirits as well.

Spring is in the air and there’s sunshine in the forecast ahead.

I hope you feel it too.

Our three-year old granddaughter Margo took this picture of me, her dad Charlie, and her baby sister Ronni.
The view from my lap.
That poster says “Welcome the Grammies.”
They call me LaLa, because those are the first two letters of my name. It’s also the first two letters of laugh, which we dearly love to do.

    1. Thanks Barb!
When I get back, I would love a tour of First Five Fox Valley. It’s such an important community asset!
