I swung through the Wisconsinest store in town yesterday on my way to a quick and cheesy interlude.
Founded 85 years ago, Simon’s Cheese is the perfect snack or stock up shop for anyone craving a Wisconsin snack.
I’d been to Simon’s Cheese many, many times over the years for various cheese purchases. I even used to bring my kids there to tour the cheese factory and watch the workers scoop the curds.
But, I’d never ventured beyond the cheese.
My mom has been raving about the Simon’s Cheese pizza. She loves it so much, she regularly makes the drive over to pick up a pie.
“They make the cheese right there,” she said. “It’s the best pizza I’ve ever had.”
So, I gave it a whirl. Naturally, I picked up some cheese too.
It all turned out to be the perfect meal for our little impromptu, mid-week, delicious family gathering.
We loved it so much I’m going to say this in print: My mom was right.
There’s nothing like a pizza with freshly made mozzarella, a mid-week sneak up to the cabin, and some golden time with the fam.
I’m grateful for it all.

We love Simon’s Cheese. That is where our milk went to when we were dairy farming!!
How cool! I know that cheese tasted extra good!
