Salaga-doola, menchika-boola, Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo.
Put them together, and what have you got?
Four of the best women we know.
Here’s what I can tell you about my children’s godmothers:
They understood the commitment they made to our squirmy little babies was lifetime. So, in honor of Mother’s Day, here’s to them!
Here’s to the guidance givers, game goers, trip takers, memory makers, stand sitters.
Here’s to their fashion sense, the sweet cards sent, and secretly slipped cents.
Thank you for the adventures, and the phone calls, and the extra bedroom, and the standing ovations you launched from auditoriums all over the Midwest.
Thanks for loving our kids.
They’ve known their whole lives that, when they need an extra ear or a comfy shoulder or a pat on the back, the thingamabob, that does the job, is “Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo.”
That’s you.
And, please know, that when your wand gets tired and your magic wings need a lift, they’ll be there for you too.
God bless you all.
