It’s not too late

If you’re reading this, it’s not too late.

You’re not too old, or too fat, or too busy or too broke. You’re not.

You can still ride that motorcycle, learn that instrument, play that sport, write that book, speak that language, sing that song.

Go back to school, hire a trainer, buy that plane ticket, attend that meeting, step into that gym.

Take a trip, or a class, or a walk, or a break. Take a chance, man. It’s time.

We live in a miraculous age, in which time zooms by in megabits, distance hardly matters and a simple finger click gets you all the information you need to get started.

We’re living longer, healthier, more productive lives and that spells opportunity.

You’ve got this.

It’s not too late to say the words. Whisper them into the night air, write them in a spiral notebook, post them on your wall, tweet them to your followers. Think you’ve missed your chance? You’re wrong.

It’s not too late to heal a rift. Make a call, extend a hand, write a note, say a prayer.

They’ll hear you. Just try.

It’s not too late to ride that roller coaster, hire that dance instructor, contact that record label, audition for that part, run that race, get that job.

It’s not too late.

And, if it’s been an especially busy week for you, remember this: it’s still Friday. It’s not too late to call your mom.
