Sweet times in Margo-ritaville

We got to hang out in Margo-ritaville this weekend for our New Jersey bagel’s second birthday and, while it was a little too chilly to kick off our flip flops, we had a great time anyway.

Of course, anytime we get with our little Margo is precious, but this visit was extra-fun. It included dance parties, red velvet cake, slushies and lots of great games.

Margo led them all. She’s got some strong opinions, but she always has good ideas so we don’t mind.

She loved every present she got and hugged every person at her party. It’s hard to imagine anyone enjoying a birthday party more than a two-year old who has looked forward to it for months.

She beamed and clapped along as we sang happy birthday to her, made a quick wish and blew out her candles (through a long straw cleverly provided by her mother. Genius!)

My wish for Margo is that she always feels the love and support that surrounded her on her second birthday.

And, my hope for the world is that we can all summon the unfettered glee of a toddler every now and then as a necessary palate cleanser in this old, challenging world.

And that all our wishes come true.

Margo’s mom Tara came up with the party theme, and her grandma Deb Deb made the perfect banner.
We’re always happy to go to Margo-ritavillle.
Margo got to celebrate in a house full of people who love her.
…like her amazing great-grandparents, who will celebrate their 69th wedding anniversary this year…
…and her Aunt Kayla.
…and her Grandpa Toes who went nose-to-nose with her…
…and her dad, who went all-in on the theme attire.
Happy birthday Margo! You stole all our leis but we love you anyway…..so very much.
