October in Wisconsin

Fall beckoned from the window with a whimsical Hello!

so I set aside my busyness and promptly said “Let’s Go!”

We ventured through the sunshine under canopies of gold

and I marveled at the beauty in a view I had not scrolled.

The trees stood tall and proudly with their crimson crowns aglow

and they shook their leaves to recognize their followers below.

Such elegance is powerful and poignantly fleet.

I thanked Fall for the flair it gave my ordinary street.

October in Wisconsin is the treat we earn all year.

I’m grateful for the time I spent and glad my friend is here.

October drapes my street with a golden canopy.
I love the contrast of a quiet river and that burst of color. I took this one Saturday morning.
That’s me in the bottom corner of this picture paying homage to the glorious Erb Park trees.
This is also me taking a shadow selfie with my friend Autumn.
I took this Saturday morning as well on a walk with a friend.
The train bridge frames fall colors like a painting.
A perfect, golden baby tree.
How about this beautiful Ginkgo tree?
I love how regal Wisconsin looks in the fall.
