A perfect tree

I saw a perfect tree the other day on a quick scurry through town and it took my breath away.

Sometimes, in the midst of gray days and pounding heads and worries you can’t escape, you just have to look up.

I happened to glance over at the exact moment the sun warmed a proud, young maple tree and I had to stop for a minute to take it all in.

The light from the gorgeous tree seeped right into my cranky old self and lifted my saggy spirits.

Thank God for trees and light and small moments of profound beauty.

I hope you find some today.

This is my surly shadow stopping dead in its tracks to admire this beautiful tree.
It reminded me to look up for a little inspiration and joy, so that’s what I did.
