Because sometimes you need a good chuckle and a dessert maker that is absolutely as sweet as the treat, I asked my adorable niece Erin to guest blog today. She is six-years old and carries most of her body weight in her big blue eyeballs. Sunday afternoon she invented her own cake.
Erin’s Cookie Cake Recipe
I thought that since I was helping make the rest of dinner…including the salad…I would make a treat all by myself.
I didn’t mean all by myself, but the idea by myself.
I first` thought, we could make cookies, but then no..we had no cookies.
Then I thought let’s make something with ice cream and cookies.
Ingredients:
Any kind of cookie
Any kind of frosting
Any kind of ice cream
Save a cookie for the top
Recipe:
First step. Spread frosting on the plate.
2nd Step: Put cookies on top of frosting. I used Nutter Butters
3rd Step: Spread frosting on top of cookies
4th Step: Add next layer of cookies. Does not have to be the same kind of cookies. I used Animal Crackers
5th Step: Spread frosting on top of cookies
6th Step: Add next layer of cookies, I used Oreos
7th Step: Add Ice Cream on top when it’s time to eat
8th Step: Add one cookie. I picked Nutter Butter to top the ice cream.
It’s Yummy and Good.
