We’re squeezing the last drops of that delicious lemon yellow ball of fun called summer.
Last week, we walked across the street to say good-bye to Erb Park swimming. But, that quick send-off didn’t seem like enough, so we marched to our house, changed into our suits, and headed back for a proper dip.
A couple of grandkid-less old people, we had a blast anyway, zipped down the slide and dove off the board a couple of times.
Summer seems like shortest season of the year, and it deserves a grand adieu.
We caught one of the last Timber Rattler games of the season, too. Such a pleasant way to pass a warm August evening.
I rassled up some driveway hoops, and had so much fun I wished I’d have played a lot more of that this summer.
Ice cream cones on the front porch, burgers on the grill, campfires, long walks with friends, river floats, boat rides, yoga in the park.
I enjoyed all of that this summer, and still wish I’d have done more.
August melted into September this week, we headed back to Lambeau for a Packer game last Friday night, and most of the schools in our area started yesterday, all harbingers of fall.
But, listen, summer doesn’t actually end for 19 more days. There’s plenty more to enjoy.
Let’s go!
