Earlier this week, my granddaughter Margo enjoyed the kind of very special Bluey episode that makes you feel good about this old world and the characters in it.
The “Buy Nothing” group in her parent’s neighborhood had organized a curbside giveaway event. So, Margo and her parents, Charlie and Tara, took a little afternoon stroll to check out the free items people had set out.
For company, Margo brought along her good pal Bingo, a stuffie in the likeness of the sweetest Australian cartoon dog in all the land.
At some point on their walk, Bingo fell out of Margo’s stroller and nobody noticed until they had all gotten home.
Oh Biscuits!
Charlie retraced their steps, but he couldn’t find Bingo. While Tara got Margo ready for bed, Charlie posted on the “Buy Nothing” site, asking if anyone had seen, or mistakenly picked up, Bingo.
Soon after, a woman messaged back that she had found Bingo.
Hooray!
Even better, she had Bingo’s big sister Bluey too, and she wanted to give Margo Bluey so the two sisters could come home together.
Can you imagine a better bedtime story for a two-year old?
